Sorry for the awkward sized pictures….I had to find a way to fit them all in haha! Now that London Fashion Week is in full swing, I thought I’d share some of my favorites from the shows in New York.
From the retro prints at marc by marc jacobs to the upcoming turtleneck trend, the fall 2013 collections are definitely a success so far. Fantastic layering, intricate textures and leather, leather, leather…what more could you ask for? Black is ubiquitous as always, although some went a bit heavy on it (Personnally, 50 black ensembles in a row is not that interesting to me especially, if the textures are devoid of variety and unexpected details). Fortunately, this is where designers like Oscar de la Renta and DVF come to the rescue with vibrant hues such as teal, fushia and red; colors that would offset any gloomy weather. The shows that stood out for me were Prabal Gurung with fantastic peplum jackets and an overall strong collection, DVF with her signature prints and empowering, beautiful clothes and Phillip Lim with his to die for biker jackets, and a certain easygoing, gypsy vibe with the perfect amount of dishevelment.
What were your favorites shows or looks from the latest new york fashion week?
