Editorial standout – Asian beauty

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday : D

Here are two photoshoots I’ve been staring at for the past few days, litterally mesmerized. So stunning! Maybe not the most innovative locations but that doesn’t make the pictures any less breathtaking.

The two editorials are very different. The wonderful sunlight, the light water and the balance of flowy fabrics and intricate detaling make  the first one a feminine, elegant and beautifully airy combination that radiates a lovely mermaid feel. It instantly looks ethereal and I love the way her hair is in a awkward ponytail instead of typical goddess waves; it has a youthful and carefree vibe that I like a lot.

At first, the immense location of the second editorial seems intimidating. Huge rocks are everywhere, the waves of the water look a bit wild and we can almost feel tiny just by looking at the pictures. However, the sleek modern silhouettes of the clothes make a statement. Along with the striking look of the model and her wet hair, the photos somehow give a quiet and calm sensation. I think the title ”Hymm to the Immortal Wind”  is very appropriate because the atmosphere is very strong and it’s almost like you can hear the echo of some kind of spiritual song in the background. This might sound strange and funny but to me, it is reminiscent of the princess Mulan, like she just won a fight and slipped into some  kick-ass clothes ; )

I think that while both shoots are different, they both stand out in a powerful and peaceful way.

To all the great dads in this world, happy Father’s Day ! We love you and we don’t say it enough ♥
